TERMS & AGREEMENTSEffective Date: August 2026

Terms of Service

The legal agreement governing platform usage, containerized code execution sandboxes, institutional portals, and academic integrity policies.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and QuantoByte Inc. ("QuantoByte", "we", "us"). By registering for an account, accessing our cloud coding environment, taking an institutional assessment, or using any associated API services, you agree to comply with these Terms in full.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to create an account. Accounts registered under institutional subscriptions (e.g., universities or colleges) are intended solely for authorized students, faculty, and administrative staff.

  • You must provide accurate, complete registration details and maintain updated email records.
  • Account credentials may not be shared, sold, or pooled among multiple individuals.
  • You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your authenticated session.

3. Code Execution Sandbox & Acceptable Use Rules

QuantoByte provides zero-egress, containerized cloud execution environments to evaluate code solutions in Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, and database runtimes. To preserve system stability, you strictly agree NOT to:

  • Attempt container escapes, gVisor/Docker privilege escalation, or host system resource manipulation.
  • Execute fork bombs, memory-exhaustion scripts, malicious network scanners, or cryptocurrency mining code.
  • Attempt to intercept, inspect, or modify execution traffic from other tenant sandboxes.
  • Use automated web crawlers or bots to scrape assessment problem sets or internal API endpoints.
Zero-Tolerance Abuse Enforcement: Malicious code submissions designed to exploit or disrupt execution infrastructure will result in permanent account termination and legal reporting to your institution.

4. Academic Integrity & Automated Proctoring

During proctored institutional assessments and timed coding tests, QuantoByte tracks objective interaction signals (tab focus loss, paste frequency, code generation velocity). You agree to adhere strictly to your university or employer's academic honesty policy.

5. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership

Your Code: You retain full ownership and copyright of all original source code written and submitted by you on the platform.

QuantoByte Assets: The platform design, problem statements, test case datasets, AI feedback algorithms, telemetry dashboards, and logos remain the exclusive intellectual property of QuantoByte Inc.

6. Service Availability & 99.9% Uptime SLA

QuantoByte strives to maintain a 99.9% service uptime for cloud runtimes and assessment portals. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated to institutional administrators in advance.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QuantoByte Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to access platform services.

8. Account Termination & Cancellation

You may cancel your account at any time. QuantoByte reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate acceptable use policies, fail to pay institutional subscription fees, or compromise platform integrity.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable corporate laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
